Ernest Dean, 82, of Benton passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023. He was born February 15, 1941 in North Little Rock, AR to the late Leroy & Clarine Dean. He retired in 2018 after being a business owner for many years. He loved to trout fish on the White River, watch old Western movies, and spend time with his family and friends. He married Lillian Jeanette Hawkins on October 11, 1969, and celebrated 48 years of marriage. He is preceded in death by his wife Jeanette, son Alan Hawkins, parents, 5 brothers, Clifford Dean, Carl Dean, Herman Dean, Elmer Dean, and Roylea Dean, and 1 sister, Lucille Dean.
He leaves to cherish his memory, son Dennis Hawkins, of Benton, granddaughter Tara Dorminy, of Rogers, great grandchildren Hadley and Jackson Dorminy, of Rogers, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nephews and nieces, special friend and caregiver Dale Jones, and a ton of friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 12:00pm, with funeral services following at 2:00pm at Pinecrest Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
