

Janice Ross, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was the heart of her home. Born on June 11, 1943, to James and Thelma McKenzie, her life was grounded in strong faith, which guided her actions and was deeply admired by those who knew and loved her.
Janice was a dedicated homemaker who later became a realtor, selling homes and helping her husband grow a successful construction company, Niles Ross Construction, which continues to this day. She was also the founder of her church’s daycare, Precious Beginnings, reflecting her deep faith, love for children, and commitment to serving others.
Janice was well known for her wonderful cooking and her joy in sharing it with others. She loved giving cooking classes at Beans and Grains and Things, welcoming people with both her knowledge and her warmth. She also loved flowers and took great pride in her beautiful flower beds, where she found peace and joy tending to them. Janice had a genuine enthusiasm for life, embracing many interests and finding happiness in creating beauty and caring for those around her.
Janice is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Niles Ross; her children, Niles Lee Ross, Barron Ross, and Karen Christopher (John); her grandchildren, Jeremy Ross, Lorren Ross, Jeff Ross, Ashley Ross, Alexa Ross, Jordyn Ross Schrader (Josh), Joshua Ross, and Haylie Autumn Ross; her great-grandchildren, Quinn McKenzie Schrader, Whitton Ross Schrader, and Killian James; and a host of nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James and Thelma McKenzie; her two beloved brothers, Michael McKenzie and Larry McKenzie; her beloved son, Jeffrey Alan Ross; and her beloved grandbaby, Baby Christopher.
Janice will be remembered for her faith in God and her deep love for her family.
She passed peacefully at her home on January 1, 2026.
A service will be held on Tuesday January 13, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior starting at 12:00 PM with burial following service at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
