Jerry D. “Duddin” Cardwell, 86, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020. Jerry was born on February 18, 1934 in Little Rock, Arkansas; the son of Orville and Geraldine (Karcher) Cardwell. He served our country as a member of the United States Army. He married his wife Gail (Wagoner) Cardwell on June 24, 1979. Among Duddin’s Hobbies were sorting things, watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt and Dale Jr., deer hunting and gun collecting. He loved birds; he kept all different kinds of bird food for the great variety he had in the backyard. He captured all those Beautiful birds by making several albums of pictures.
Duddin was always getting himself in some kind of situation. One of those is when he went hunting with his father-in-law and fell asleep in the truck on the way. Father-in-law saw this, hit his breaks and hollered “turkey!” Duddin jumped out of the truck and ran right straight into a tree.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years Gail Cardwell of Bryant, Arkansas, his son Jerry Jr. and daughter Donna, his grandchildren, and a brother Raymond “Bubbo” Cardwell and his wife Janice. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will take place on Monday, October 19, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with funeral services beginning at 2:00 pm at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 N. Hwy 5, Alexander, Arkansas. Burial will follow services in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
