Joey had been a long term employee of Phelps Industries as a welder (fabricator) and was very skilled in his profession.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas J. Evans and Opal Lee Johnson Evans maternal grandparents, Edgar H Pierce and Mae Moring Pierce, and his baby boy Logan Evans.
Joey leaves behind his loving son, Will Evans, a loving brother, William T. Evans, Jr.; his parents, stepfather, Gerald Hillge; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, friends, and coworkers.
The family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice and UAMS hospital for their loving kindness and professionalism and thank you to Phelps Industries for their love and care. Also a special thank you to Kim Deutcher and Miriam Bernardo for their loving sacrifice.
Honorary pallbearers are, Randy Pinkerton, Theron Murray, Paul Phelps, and John Liles.
A memorial service will be held on Monday March 11, 2024 at 12PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home.
