Maxine J. McBride passed to her heavenly home Thursday June 25th, 2020. She was born in Weldon, Arkansas in 1928. She was preceded in death by her parents Jehu and Lucille Shipman, her husband Elton “Mac” McBride and son Gary McBride.

She was a homemaker and made sure that everyone who came to her home was made to feel welcome. She loved to cook and care for her husband and three sons. As our family grew, she loved all us being with her and Mac at their home to reminisce about family times.

She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and always loved to fellowship with her friends there. She leaves a great legacy behind including two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy & Carolyn, and Rod & Pam. She has five grandchildren Teri, Lyndsey, Patrick, Rachel, and Haley and seven great grandchildren and her dear sister Connie Frey.

Visitation will be at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 Highway 5 N. Alexander, Arkansas from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 1, 2020 with graveside services to follow at Martin Cemetery, 9998 Sibley Hole Road Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 - (off I-30). Interment will follow services.

My sincere condolences to the members of the McBride family with the passing of Mrs. McBride. I especially want to give a great big hug to my brother-in-law Rod who recently lost his best friend and fishing buddy to death; and, now his mother. I know neither of these losses have been easy for him. We’ve all heard that “time heals all wounds” - l believe that “time helps us accept all wounds”. I know in time things will eventually feel better. The words “rest-in-peace” are surely meant for those of us still on Earth; and, for those who are no longer with us. With love, Sandy Taylor
