
Norman D. Ward, 91, of Bryant died on Tuesday, June 16th. He was a WWII veteran serving with the 7th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946. Norm was a member and shepherd of the Congo Road Baptist Church. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Ada Fay Ward, Norm is survived by step-daughter Linda (Cecil) Dodgen of Benton, step-sons Joseph (Rebecca) Leslie of Alexander and William Leslie of Benton ; sister, Mary Jo Clardy of Memphis and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation was held at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home , 10200 Hwy. 5 N, Alexander at 9:00 am on Thursday, June 18th with funeral service following at 10:00am. Bro. Jeff Langley officiated. Interment followed immediately afterward at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Roe Zumo, Scott Zumo, Bill Ridgeway, Carlos Irizarry, Duane Anderson and Joe Vandiver. Ed Coulson served as honorary pallbearer.
