He was born April 19, 1938 in Spokane, WA to Basil Shaw and Esther Witherall Shaw. During his high school years he ran cross country track and boxed with the Golden Gloves Organization. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the US Marine Corp. Following his service, he moved to California and then to Arkansas where he worked for Coca Cola. He retired in 2001. Bob was a farmer at heart and over the years he raised chickens, cattle and a couple bison on his 30-acre farm in Alexander. He met his wife Leslie in 1995 and they married the following year.
He is survived by his loving spouse Leslie, his daughter Audra Shaw Pearson, and 2 grandchildren, Logan and Lauren Pearson of Olympia, Wa. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Smith of Cabot, AR and brothers Ron (Fran)and Roger of Portland, OR. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and 2 younger brothers.
Visitation is on Sunday 2/7/21 at 3pm at Pinecrest Funeral Home in Alexander, followed by a Rosary Service at 4pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, 2/8/21 at 10am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church located at 900 W Cross St in Benton, under the direction of Pinecrest Funeral Home.
