
Sherrill Owens, 64, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on May 21, 2026. Born on September 24, 1961, Sherrill lived a life marked by kindness, devotion to family, and a quiet generosity that touched everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Curtis J. and Marjorie T. McClain Owens and his brothers, Philip H. Owens; Michael F. Owens; his sister Phyllis A. Jordan and Teri Pilcher his niece.
Sherrill leaves behind his brother James F. Owens his primary care giver, sisters, Donna Heffington, Barbara Arquilla (Larry), and Debra Skene (Rod); four nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; he is survived by his wife, Zelma Owens, and his son, Loren Owens, and two grandchildren, and many extended family members who will miss him deeply.
For 47 years, Sherrill faithfully worked as a manager with the Randolph-Sheppard Vending Facility Program through Arkansas Rehabilitation Services Administration. He took great pride in his work and formed lasting friendships throughout the years. Those who knew him best will remember not only his dedication, but also his warm heart, gentle nature, and willingness to help anyone in need.
Sherrill was a caring and loving man who found happiness in the simple moments spent with family and friends. He had a way of making people feel welcomed and valued, and his presence brought comfort to those around him. His passing leaves a tremendous void in the lives of those who loved him, but his memory will forever be cherished.
Funeral services are pending at this time. Interment will take place at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
