

Shirley Land Holloway, age 84, passed away on February 12, 2026. She was born on February 28, 1941, in Batesville, MS, to Clarence and Lois Land.Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, educator, and faithful servant of the Lord. She lived most of her life in Bryant, where she made a lasting impact on her family, her church, and her community.
She was a dedicated teacher with the Bryant School District for 33 years, shaping the lives of countless students with her patience, wisdom, and steady encouragement. Teaching was more than a profession for Shirley — it was a calling.
A faithful member of Graceway Baptist Church (formerly First Southern), Shirley loved her church family deeply and lived out her faith daily with quiet strength and grace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lois Land, and her sister, Anita McCullar and husband Gayle.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, John Holloway of Bryant; her sons, Marshall Holloway and Reece Holloway and wife Sara, all of Bryant; her grandchildren, Brylane Holloway and fiancé Addi Ellis of Conway, and Brecca Holloway of Bauxite; sister, Carey Drake; along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
Above all, Shirley loved her family. She was the steady foundation of her home, a proud grandmother, and a constant source of love, guidance, and faith. Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and devotion will live on in all who knew her.
