Thank you, Mrs. Gibson. You were so kind to our family. RIP

My memories of "Momma G" began 5 years ago when I started working at Vistra. She was the kindest and loveliest person to me and to those around me. She came to celebrate many events and holidays with us. She was a bright light in what can be at times a dark world. May God take her and keep her soul. 

For the past week, I have been unable to find the words to describe how much I loved my friend,  Caldoria Gibson. My words are feeble, but I can say that Cal  was very kind, and with her nurturing spirit,  it was so easy to love her. I've known her since the early 1980's and throughout the years, she shared her wisdom with me, shared her family and friends with me , but most of all, Cal loved me as I loved her. 
Rest easy, my friend, and I shall love you for all eternity.

When a candle goes out so suddenly, the darkness can be overwhelming...But, in the heart, there is a glimmer of light - because love holds the memories that gently keep glowing forever.  Wishing you comfort in the loss of your dear Mother.  She was such a comfort to us when our Mother passed in 2001.  I will never forget getting a hug from her  during Army ROTC Advance Camp at FT Bragg during the summer of 1977. Our families are  intertwined and we mourn with you.  Please don't hesitate to call upon us in your time of need.  Keeping all of you in prayer!

Mrs. Gibson was my eighth grade home economics teacher., at Jeff Davis middle school.  She was more than a teacher she had that motherly effect on me always teaching and guiding me and others to do better. I had the opportunity, to talk with her a year or so. I will always love and cherish Mrs. Gibson in my heart.  Rest well  Mrs. Gibson.

Mother G was a very special person in our family.  She inspired so many people, especially young people.  Her exquisite culinary skills will sure be missed.  So glad she shared many of her skills and recipes with her children and grandchildren. We're blessed to have had her in our lives for so long, but her spirit and notable memories will live forever in our minds and hearts.

Mrs. Gibson was one of the kindness teachers I’ve had. She is fondly remembered. I’m praying for comfort for the Gibson family

As a neighbor of Miss Gibson I have so many fond memories of her.  I remember setting off fireworks with her and how nice she was to my Mom. Always a smile on her beautiful face, never a harsh word for anyone, Miss Gibson is the model of how I hope I can live my life.

I am in mourning like many Hampton Military Alumni at the loss of Mrs. Gibson.  She was an inspiration to so many that went through the Army ROTC program.  Her support for the future warriors was undeniable .  Her recent contribution to the renovation project of the ROTC building was a testament to her commitment to our young men and women.  She was certainly a mother to many who sought the wisdom she freely provided.  I will miss her positive attitude and enchanting smile. Mrs. Gibson was  one of the sensational Pirates that I have had the pleasure of knowing for more than 44 years.  God bless you Mrs. Gibson and may Heaven smile upon you as you enter into eternity.  You truly were a remarkable person!  

To the Gibson Family:  I remember the great fellowships prepared by the late LTC & Mrs. Gibson in their home during their assignment at HU!   This assignment brings back many great memories.   I was  LTC Gibson's administrative Secretary back in the mid-seventies.  A great couple.  Cherish the days, months,  and years, - SHE IS FREE!   May She RIP!
