Charles John Terio III

Charles John Terio III, 79, of Alexandria, VA died on Saturday, April 3, 2021. Beloved husband of Anne L. Terio; father of Chris (Anne) Terio; stepfather of Marianne Elbertson and Christopher (Sang) Moore; grandfather of Reed Anne Elbertson, Caroline Elbertson, Alexander J. Terio, Garrett Moore and Eliza Moore. Mr. Terio was a U.S. Marine and fought in Vietnam and Panama, a Capitol Policeman, a Federal Agent and Head of Governor’s Security in American Samoa. Mr. Terio was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 609 Alexandria, VA; and the Knights of Columbus, Alexandria, VA. Mr. Terio was an inventor and designed a vehicle restraining system at age 44 years. This system provides a gate that can stop a truck loaded with explosives in a terrorist attack. He also has 2 patents on this system. A funeral service will be held on April 12, 2021 at 11 AM at the Quantico Military Base. Arrangements by Demaine Funeral Home.
