

Maga, Christopher Hanley, Jr., 37, of Alexandria, VA, born June 24, 1978; died on Thursday, April 28, 2016, after battling a long illness. He is survived by his two beloved sons, Christopher Maga and Sean Maga; his mother and stepfather, Debbie and Ron Humbert; his father, Christopher H. Maga, Sr.; his two sisters, Melissa Humbert and her fiancé, Craig Bellamy, and Nicole (Joe) Theobold; along with his many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. More than anything, Chris enjoyed spending time with his sons and sharing with them his enthusiasm and skills at skateboarding, his passion for writing and creating his own music, his love of video recording life events with his sons, family and friends. Chris was employed by the Herndon, VA, branch of the Navy Federal Credit Union for over 15 years; where he received numerous awards for Excellence, Achievement, and Superior Performance. The family will receive guests on Saturday, May 7, 2016, from 1 pm to 2 pm; followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2 pm with Pastor Rod Sampson officiating. The service will be held at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 South Washington St, Alexandria, VA 22324. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made on behalf of his beloved sons' future, Christopher and Sean Maga, titled “The Christopher H. Maga, Jr. Memorial Fund”, and sent to Union Bank & Trust, 5980 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Palmyra, VA 22963.
