On Friday, August 31, 2012, Elyse Jean Donahue of Alexandria, Virginia, beloved wife of LTG (retired) Robert Donahue, devoted mother of Patrick, Brian, Robert, and Elyse Donahue and caring grandmother of 12 grandchildren. Elyse was an inspiration to all who knew her, loved her family and placed the needs of others first. She touched the lives of many and will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Friends are invited to our celebration of Elyse's life at Demaine Funeral Home at 520 S. Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 and a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church at 2907 Popkins Lane, Alexandria, VA 22306 at 10:30 a.m. on September 5, 2012.
