Gloria Jane Mickey

Of Alexandria, VA passed away June 21, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 14, 1928 in San Diego, CA to the late Howard and Dorothy Markley. She is preceded in death by her husband James W. Mickey (1978); and her brothers, David and John. She is survived by her children William (Tammy), Pamela and Dennis Mickey of Alexandria, VA; Katheryn Mickey of Woodstock, GA; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Larry Hanson of Redding, CA, and many cousins, nieces and nephews; dearest friends Ann and Roy Crawford.

In addition to being a housewife and mother, she worked professionally for 30 years as a reservation agent for United Airlines.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Demaine's Funeral Home of Alexandria, VA. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 27, 2012 10 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church, Alexandria, VA. Private interment at Culpeper National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Visiting Nurses Association or Breast Cancer Society.
