Jane Anne Dunn

Jane A. Dunn passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. Jane was born in Albany, NY October 25, 1935. She was the youngest daughter of Edward and Jane Gallogly of Defreestville, NY, and was predeceased by her sister, Mary K. Gallogly (February 25, 2015), her brother, Thomas K. Gallogly (August 6, 2015), and her brother, John J. Gallogly (December 23, 2017). She is survived by her husband, Col. James W. Dunn of Alexandria, VA and her six children, Michael S. Dunn (Karyn), Colleen A. Dunn, Terrence E. Dunn, Maureen E. Cordina (Mario), Eileen P. Dolan (William), Patrick T. Dunn (Holly), and thirteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Jane graduated from Holy Names Academy, Albany, NY in 1952 and from Regis College, Weston, MA in 1956. She was a dietician at St. Peters Hospital, Albany, NY for a year before marrying James W. Dunn at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Rensselaer, NY in June, 1957. As an Army wife Jane cared for her family throughout the United States, into Europe, and across the Pacific. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Martins Roman Catholic Church, Fort Belvoir, VA and worked as a volunteer for St. Martins Church, Meals on Wheels, and Reach to Recovery. A funeral mass, followed by a reception, will be held on Thursday, 29 November, 2018 at 10:30 am at Woodlawn Chapel, Fort Belvoir, VA. Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all.
