Ms Nancy, Words cannot express how very sorry I am for your loss. Having had the privilage to meet your mom, I clearly understand what an inspiration she was to you and your whole family and what an impact she had made on your life. Remember she is not dead, she just answer a call from her heavenly father. Keep on the good works as she told you. On the last day when the lord will come in his glory, we will all meet her again and will path no more, she will surely be missed, let the joy of the lord be you strenght.please read Psalm 48;14, Isaiah 54;10.

To the Fitzpatrick Family,  My husband Dave and I met your Mom a few years ago as we attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church also and sat with her every Sunday morning.   After a few weeks of seeing our same faces she introduced herself to us and that was the beginning of our getting to know each and every one of you.  After Mass we'd stand outside, every week and share family news.  She talked about those of you near and far, children,  grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She talked about "Fitzy" and their life together. We heard about your weeks at the Outer Banks and because of her we have spent Thanksgivings there.  We moved to Fredericksbburg a year and a half ago and since then I did send a few email and cards, but got no reply so we knew things had changed for her.  We have so many great memories of her, we've spoken of her often and we know she will be missed.  Our sympathy and prayers to all the family.

It has been over 8 years since I last lived in the neighborhood though I have passed by the old home a few times here and there I have often wondering how the neighbors have fared over the years. It was with deep sorrow today when my daughter called to inform me of the passing of Ms. Kay. She touched the lives of my children during the 16 odd years we lived in Mt. Vernon. My daughter fondly reminded me of Sunday morning mass where Ms. Kay always said hello, how on Holloween outings she always made a point of giving my children a little something extra, when they had a fund raiser selling things she always bought something to help them out. Ms. Kay was one in a million and I still can see her smile as I passed by with my kids on a bike ride, walking Honey, or driving by on our way to Good Shepherd Sunday mornings.

To her family, please accept my sympathy. It is not easy losing a loved one, my mother passed 3 years ago so I know all to well. But take in the comfort all the happiness she spread over the years. Today as my daughter fought back tears reminding me of the good times and joy Ms. Kay brought to her I too fought back tears. She was a beautiful person inside and out and a wonderful neighbor. She brought so much to the community and though I am no longer a part of that she will truly be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss! Ms. Kay was one of my "Church Buddies," sat in the same pew as my father, brother, and me (for 15 years) and we always were so excited to see her every Sunday morning and concerned if she was not at church. My favorite part of church was the "peace be with you," so I could go hug her or shake her hand and see how she had been doing. She always helped me out buying from what ever fundraiser I showed up with, girl scout cookies or school wrapping paper. And she always had something special for us at Halloween! I cannot believe shes gone, and I regret not keeping in better touch with her after I moved to Florida. She was the kindest lady I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, and I hope shes at peace now with our Heavenly Father.  And may the lord be with all of you and your families in this time of morn. I am truly devastated about the loss of this amazing woman! She will always be in my memories and I hope one day, when I have children, they will have someone as special as Ms. Kay in their lives as she was and will always be in mine. Again, my deepest condolences to her family in this difficult time!

Your Mom was a childhood and dearest friend through our grade and high school years, a cherished relationship through all of these years  May the Lord bring you comfort and peace kowing Lmb (Kay) is at peace with her Lord  She will always be in our memories.
