He was born 27 July 1945 in the District of Columbia. Upon graduation from high school he enlisted in the US Navy in 1963. He served in the Active Navy as well as the Reserves until retiring in 1974. He received his BA from the University of Iowa. He went on to work for the Civil Aeronautics Board and the Department of Transportation.
He volunteered for MAPGA, the Middle Atlantic Professional Golf Association. He greatly enjoyed his 34 years working as Rules Official, primarily with the Juniors. He also loved playing the game of golf.
He is survived by his wife, Susan. He was a loving Father to two sons, Michael and Christopher. He also is survived by his beloved granddaughter Madeline who brought joy and laughs to his heart. He is survived by his grandson Correy and two additional granddaughters Sophia and Emma.
