Past 17th District Commander, Past Post 176 Commander and Post General Manager Robert "Bob" Eidsvoog was called to Post Everlasting on September 25, 2023. His exemplary leadership and dedication to the 17th District, Post 176, Veterans and his service to the Community, State, and Nation should illuminate the path for all Legionnaires to follow.
A Memorial Service in his honor will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, 7PM at Fairfax American Legion Post 177, 3939 Oak St., Fairfax, VA.
A Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, 11AM at The Old Post Chapel, 204 Lee Ave, Fort Myer, VA; burial with full military honors will take place immediately after in Arlington National Cemetery followed by a reception at the Springfield American Legion Post 176 at 1PM.
