Ruth T. Lambert

Ruth was born August 17,1936 in Princeton, WV and was a graduate of Princeton High School.

Ruth grew up in Princeton, WV one of nine children, and often spoke fondly of her childhood memories. Ruth was a homemaker, Sunday school teacher and avid baker. She began a 20-year career as an insurance administrator later in life with People’s Life Insurance Company of Bluefield, WV. She traveled extensively training insurance agents on the company’s automated systems. Upon retirement she enjoyed gardening, the daily crossword puzzle, keeping up with family and friends, and was a political enthusiast always up on the latest news.

Ruth is survived by her daughter Rita Lambert of Alexandria, VA, brother Joe Thompson of Princeton, WV, and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her son Raymond Luther Lambert, Jr. (Ricky) of Princeton WV; parents Charles Lee Thompson and Betty (Scott) Thompson of Princeton WV; brothers Jim Thompson, Delbert Thompson, and Norman Thompson; sisters Margie York, Mary Wright, Hazel Church and Violet Mills.

Cremation will be handled by Demaine Funeral Home in Alexandria, VA.
