Bertie Catherine Hunt

Loving wife, mother, sister. Born in Orlando Florida March 15, 1941, making her home in College Park. She was married to William (Bill) Hunt August 15, 1958. Bertie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Bertie is survived by her daughter Terry Hunt Hinton, grandchildren, Jason D. Hinton, Minneola, FL. Holly S. Hinton, Orlando. Great grandchildren, Taylor K. Hinton of Eustis and River D. Hinton of Minneola. Preceded in death by husband Bill Hunt, son Todd Hunt, brother Eddie Martin and parents Rose and Cecil Martin all of Orlando. Bertie’s Great grandparents came to Orlando from Charleston South Carolina in the late 1800’s residing in College Park. Bertie was a licensed Private Investigator, reuniting hundreds of adoptive families. Bertie’s accomplishments were many including creating and implementing N.I.C.S - Neighborhood Internet Crime Spotters for District 3. A program with the intent to provide legitimate information to members in order to enhance more safety and security where they live and work. Bertie worked closely with the Orlando Police Department volunteering. She made a difference in her community and in the lives of so many. Bertie’s home office was filled with countless awards, cherished photos, lots of Sherlock Holmes memorabilia and tokens of appreciations from all who loved her. Bertie was one of a kind. She will truly be missed.
