Carl B. Williams was born on Monday December 12th, 1955 to the late Alvin and Hermine Williams in Kingston, Jamaica. Carl spent most of his childhood years in Jamaica until 1969 when his parents decided that a better life awaited them in the United States. He relocated to Bronx, New York where he would go on to continue his early education. Carl attended William H. Taft High School, where he graduated in 1974. After high school, he worked as a mechanical engineer with a primary focus on manufacturing and servicing commercial utilities; working with his hands was his passion. He loved to create and build.
In 1975, he met his forever love, Sharon at a party. The couple instantly developed a connection and fell in deeply in love. Carl and Sharon went on to wed in Holy Matrimony in 1980. From their union, three precious children were born: Carl Jr, Shomari and Shante. Carl and Sharon spent the next eight years in New York before deciding to relocate the family to Orlando, Florida. After working for over twenty years in his profession, Carl retired to spend time at home with his family and grandchildren.
Carl loved to have a good time and was also passionate about music; he was an avid lover of reggae music. He always enjoyed gatherings and parties with good food and good music. His favorite pastime was playing his vinyl records on his personal turntables and dancing around the house. He was an accomplished outdoorsman who spent much of his time in his yard, riding his bicycle, and going for walks indulging in nature. When he wasn’t outside or listening to reggae music, he could be found watching basketball and playing the sport with his closest family and friends or having intelligent discussions about the current political climate.
Our beloved Carl’s life book was closed on Friday, September 23rd 2022. Carl lived a warm life, filled with joy. He will be fondly remembered for his laugh, engaging conversation, and friendship.
