She was born in Golders Green, a neighborhood in Northwest London, England on August 21, 1931.
Gloria was the only child of Benjamin Mansell and Leah Freeman.
She grew up in London and during World War II she spent time living with family in the British countryside.
After graduating from London's school system, she further developed her creativity enrolling in lessons and classes in art, dancing, and music. Gloria's foundation role was a fashion model.
In 1952, she married a United States Navy sailor to embark on a lifelong journey living in America.
Gloria's life was defined by three great passions: her family, creating loving and lasting friendships wherever she was, and the arts.
In 1965, Gloria settled in Altamonte Springs, Florida, residing there for 50 years, raising her family, developing deep friendships, and entertaining many with her beautiful voice and acting. She was a loving, charming soul who effortlessly balanced grace and elegance.
Gloria maintained a deeply ingrained quintessential English custom by having a cup of hot tea everyday of her life.
She now joins her parents; her daughter, Frances Belle House; and son, Benn Steven Irwin in eternal rest.
She is survived by her son, Richard C. Irwin Jr. and his wife, Jo Ann; daughter-in-law, Carmela Irwin (Benn); and son-in-law, Dennis House (Frances Belle); grandchildren, Adam, Clay, Raymond, Gloria, Emily, Benn, Blake, and Avery; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many cousins residing in England.
