Grace Torrentino Coax, of Winter Springs, passed away peacefully in the early hours of July 4, 2025, joining her beloved husband Bob, who preceded her in death in 1996. At her side was her dear friend, Daytona Bolden. Though Grace had no surviving family, she was surrounded throughout her life by a devoted circle of friends whose regular visits are a testament to the vibrant, joyful presence she was.
In 1987, Grace and Bob made their home on Cayuga Drive in Winter Springs after relocating from Rochester, NY. Together, they embraced life with open arms—attending cultural events, dining out, traveling through Europe and the Caribbean, and sailing their cherished boat. Bob was a skilled sailor and a talented fabricator, while Grace nurtured a deep love for gardening. Her meticulously tended lawn became a local showpiece, reflecting both her artistry and care. She also served as president of the Tuscawilla Garden Club, where her passion bloomed in the community.
Despite facing illness in recent years, Grace never lost her sparkle. Her desire to connect with friends remained strong, and her infectious sense of humor continued to shine through. She met life’s challenges with courage, grace, and unwavering joy—never a word of complaint, always a smile and a laugh.
Grace’s legacy lives on not in bloodlines, but in the love she cultivated, the friendships she tended, and the beauty she left behind.
