Iris M Grimmer

She was born in Gastonia, N.C. then her family moved to Trenton, Maine when she was 6 years old. She graduated from Bar Harbor High School, She graduate college at Maine School of Commerce in 1942; which is now Husson University Bangor Maine. She moved to Dayton, Ohio taking a job as a secretary at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

She was married to Lt. Col- Carl (Gene) Grimmer USAF for 62 years. Their military assignments included, Germany, Norway and several U.S. bases.

She was a member of First Baptist Church Winter Park, The Winter Park Womans Club, The Daughters of the American Revolution, where she served many positions; one being Chapter Regent.

She was preceded in death by her 3 sisters and brother.

She is survived by, her daughter; Andra (Jack) Bruce, two grandsons; Christopher Bruce, Stephen (Emily) Bruce, great grandson; Lucas; and 8 Nieces And Nephews.
