

Marlene was born November 1, 1936, in southern Iowa to Vivian and Mardell Marvin. She spent most of her childhood in Coal City, Iowa. After graduating from Moulton high school, she joined the U.S. Navy where she worked at the pentagon for the undersecretary of the Navy. Marlene spent most of her career after the Navy working as the office manager for Translife. After retirement from the workforce, she volunteered for a number of years at the Altamonte Springs police department.
Known for her fierce independence, Marlene was an avid reader and a “master level “shopper. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family celebrating all of life’s milestones.
Marlene is preceded in death by parents Vivian and Mardell, son Daniel and brothers Sam and Joe.
She is survived by daughter Judy, son in law Mike, sister Beverly brother Gale; grandchildren Brooke, Holly, Daniel, Lillia; great grandchildren Trace, Claire Marie, Jameson, Silas, Eris, Theodore and 2 more on the way.
Marlene was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
