

Robert William Behe, 83, of Longwood, passed away August 5, 2015. He was born December 17, 1931 in Dansville, NY. After serving our country in the USAF in the Korean War he settled in Florida. After his time in the service, he went on to obtain his pilot’s license as he had a passion for flying airplanes and was fortunate to own a couple of his own. He completed his Electrical Engineering studies at the University of Florida in 1959. He founded Behe & Umholtz Electrical Contracting Company in 1965, which later became Florida Industrial Electric, Inc. Bob and his family were members of the Rolling Hills Golf Club for many years. Upon his retirement in 2000, he and his wife loved to travel the country by motor coach. Bob loved tailgating with his family and friends at the Florida home football games and did so consistently for over forty years. Bob is survived by Laura, his loving wife of 55 years, his son Randy Behe (Vannie), daughters Nancy Wheeler (Joe), and Beverly McCoy. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Robert Wheeler (Samantha), Kaira Wheeler and Kelsey Wheeler; also, Tyler McCoy and Baxter McCoy. He is also survived by one great grandchild, Silas Wheeler. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, August 13, 2PM at First Baptist Church of Altamonte Springs, 900 North Street, Longwood, FL 32750.
