Robley “Robbie” Evans Robinson, Jr., 91, of Altamonte Springs, FL passed away Friday, June 3, 2016. He was born to the late Robley Evans Sr. and Betty Lou Robinson (Sempirek) in Steubenville, Ohio on July 21, 1924. Robbie was only a resident of Ohio for about 6 months of his life and then moved to Florida, where he was raised and grew up a true Florida boy. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged as an E 3 mechanical specialist in 1946. Robbie then married his loving wife, Irene S. Robinson, and the two shared 69 wonderful years together. Professionally, Robbie was a skilled Sales Manager for Foremost Dairy and later retired with T.G. Lee Dairy at age 65. He had a charismatic personality and never knew a stranger. Being familiar with the Orlando area, Robbie seemed to recognize someone practically anywhere his family went together. Recreationally, Robbie enjoyed his Florida football (UF Gators and Tampa Bay Bucs), stock car races, dancing with Irene for the Polish National Alliance, vacationing to the mountains of North Carolina, and visiting the beaches of Florida with his family among many things. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him. Robbie was preceded in his passing by his brother, William H. Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Irene S. Robinson; daughter, Bonnie Whidden and her husband Rob; son, Robbie E. Robinson, III; brother, Richard Robinson; sister, Lois Gill Robinson; grandsons, Jeffrey Jacobs and his wife Dawn and Bradley Whidden and his wife Meghan; and great-granddaughter, Hannah Jacobs; as well as many other close family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Altamonte Chapel, 825 E. Altamonte Drive, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701 on Friday, June 17 at 11am. A reception will follow immediately at the social hall of the church. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Baldwin Fairchild West Altamonte, an honored Dignity Memorial provider.
