Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Susan; son, Clint; step son, Joshua; brother, David (Edith); sister, Carolyn as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Roy was an avid baseball fan all of his life. He was so talented he was drafted by the San Francisco Giants, but an unfortunate injury stalled his baseball career. He instead joined the Navy, where he proudly served for 14 years before going on to work for the United States Postal Service, which he retired from.
Along with his love of baseball, he also loved golf and spending time on the greens with Clint. He recently joined the Elks club and could often be found at Bingo nights with Susan and friends.
Roy will forever be remembered for his love of sports, shoes and clothes, but mostly for his love of his family and friends.
A celebration of Roy’s life will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 90 Weathersfield Ave. Altamonte Springs, FL 32714, on Saturday October 17, beginning at 3pm. Friends are invited to share their memories of Roy with his family during the celebration.
