Timothy Crotty Osner, 72, of Orlando, FL, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Tim was born on September 2, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri. Shortly thereafter, his family relocated to Arlington Heights, Illinois, where Tim resided for the first half of his life, experiencing his youth, schooling years, and laying the foundation for his future career in the healthcare field.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Richard J. and Virginia Christian Osner. Tim is also preceded in death by his much-loved companion, his faithful beagle, Monty.
Tim is survived by his three sons, Aram, Zachary (Holly), Noah (Lydia) and four grandchildren, Alexa, Tyler, Amelia and Ellis. He is survived by his sister, Victoria Long, and two nephews, Andrew (Melissa) and Christian (Amy Nicholson).
Also surviving Tim is his partner of twenty-five years, Christine Doetsch, along with her four children, Jason (Jennifer), Jeremy (Megan Jost), Daniel (Rebecca), Evelyn Hubbard (Kyle) and ten grandchildren.
Tim began his career in the healthcare industry while residing in Illinois, with a prime focus on the field of behavioral health. In 2001 he accepted a position in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, beginning his deep love for the state and New England. Tim resided in New Hampshire for fifteen years before relocating to Orlando, Florida.
In 2006, Tim went on to establish his own business as a healthcare consultant, which he managed over the next fifteen years. His assignments took him to states throughout the country, and through the years some of the business associates he met through these assignments, became valued friends.
In Tim’s earlier years, his love of history prompted Tim to join a re-enactment group, namely the Scots Guards, one of the Foot Guard regiments of the British Army, for participation in American War of Independence Re-Enactment events. He spent many enjoyable years traveling to gatherings with his young sons.
His love of photography led Tim onto a brief path into the photo taking industry during the mid-1980s, and thereafter reinforced his passion for camera work for the remainder of his life. He had a keen eye for detail; such as lighting, depth and emotion of subject, resulting in many outstanding photographs. Tim was often called upon to be the “wedding photographer” because of his ability to successfully capture the emotion and joy of the occasion. Tim spent many hours reliving the memories found in his personal collection of photographs and videos taken over the years.
Another life-long devotion of Tim’s was seen in his dedication to his writings. He leaned on the historical side of fiction, with plots taking you anywhere from early European settings highlighting religious undertones to the revolutionary war backdrop of British soldiers aboard transport ships bound for America to fight for King and country. These stories, along with many others, were the product of Tim’s creative imagination. His research enabled him to convey
themes of courage, sacrifice, loyalty and survival. Tim was a perfectionist in his story telling and edited many times over until he felt he had penned his tale just right.
Tim held a diverse variety of interests over the course of his lifetime, ranging anywhere from his appreciation of the world of fine art to his enjoyment of watching Halloween monster movies; from the excitement experienced in being an armchair traveler to the pleasure of sipping an exceptional single malt scotch. Grill master, pizza maker extraordinaire, first-class martini shaker (“Good night, Becky”). Tim amazed us all.
Let us also remember Tim as the very religious man he was, often reaching for his Bible to provide comfort and guidance.
Tim will be laid to rest during a graveside service on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, beginning at 2:00pm, at the Town House Cemetery, 240 Middle Road, Center Tuftonboro, in his beloved State of New Hampshire. The Town House Cemetery is located directly behind the Tuftonboro Town Offices.
