

He was born in Hastings Oklahoma to William & Lola Humphries. (The 3rd of 8 children)
Bill was a very beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother and friend to many.
He cherished his family and He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Frances (Watson) Humphries.
Two surviving sisters are Mildred Humphries and Jeraldine Graham.
His three children Joy Miller (League City, TX), Jan Howard and husband Jack (League City, TX) and Tim Watson with wife Kim (Longmont, CO).
His Grandchildren who gave him so much joy include Regina Ginsel, Amanda Chapman, Danny Smothermon, Lacy Howard, Jeff Watson, David Watson, Jaclyn McLaughlin and Sarah Watson. His Great-Grandchildren include Andrew Ginsel, Macy Ferguson, Chad and Chase Ginsel, Brook & Jacob Chapman, Alexis Smothermon, Skyler Watson, Darcy Quay, Savannah Humphrey, Jacob Watson, Lyla Watson, Isabella Pease, Caroline Watson, Wyatt Watson and Claire & Cole McLaughlin. He also had several Great-Great-Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews.
Bill will always be remembered for his quick wit, encouraging words, integrity and hard work. His careers were numerous and impressive from his early years at Armco Steel (Houston,TX) where he began as a hard laborer and rose to General Plant manager to retirement in Florida where he continued his work his expertise in other areas with Mahoney Ice and Ellis K. Phelps.
He enjoyed many activities throughout his life including Snow Skiing, Horseback riding across the Rocky Mountains, Bicycling, Fishing, Raising Orchids, and always supporting everyone he knew. He truly loved his family and friends near and far. No words can express how much he will be missed. A part of his soul will live on in each of us. We are so grateful for a Life well lived. Blessings overflow from his life to ours.
First and foremost Bill loved Jesus and worshipped him faithfully all his life. His last years he attended St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Winter Park, FL (100 St. Andrews Blvd), where a Memorial and Celebration of His Life will be held there on February 27th at 11:00 am.
