Betty was born in Kansas City, Kansas on November 12, 1922 to Ellis Asbury and Minnie Lee (Brooks) Short. She was a wonderful mother and wife who possessed many different talents aside from being able to keep the home together. Following her first marriage from Richard "R.K." Pack, she married Jacob “Henry” Davis in 1968. Together, the two raised a wonderful family. Betty could sew, knit, crochet, and just about anything else that included creating something out of fabric or thread. In the kitchen, her abilities were unparalleled. She could cook and bake just about anything. Betty loved to serve people. Her desire to do so led her to doing many forms of volunteer work in and outside of her community. As if that was not enough, she attended college, became a coder in computer programming, and worked in the church office.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry, a grandchild, and a great grandchild. Those left to cherish her memories are her sons Richard Pack of California and Craig Davis and wife Laurie of Lewisville, Texas, daughter Shelly Sue Davis of Dallas, Texas; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren, as well as many other loving family and dear friends.
