She was born June 11, 1947 in Atlanta, Indiana to Lester and Mary Forkner
Cora married the love of her life Weldon Freeman on August 10, 1980 and together they raised two children. Cora and Weldon spent 42 wonderful years together, never spending anytime apart from one another, she always kept Weldon in check. She had a full heart when it came to children, and she taught in ISS at Rolling Hills Elementary School for 15 years. Cora and Weldon attended BYKOTA Baptist Church for 11 years, Cora taught Sunday school for her church, with great passion, guiding children to the Lord. She had great talent for just about anything creative especially crafts, crochet, flower arranging and decorating for the church. Cora was an amazing lady with a large warm heart, caring for everyone she came across.
She is survived by her husband Weldon, two sons; William Freeman from San Angelo, Texas, Henry Freeman from Amarillo, Texas, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grand-children, one sister; Betty Jo Cook and husband Floyd of Thomson Georgia, 5 nieces and nephews, and 17 great-nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Lester and Mary Forkner ,one brother; William Forkner.
Cora will be missed by both family and friends.
