Gregoria M Diaz

Gregoria earned her GED and later attended Amarillo College, where she took Business Education classes. She found joy and fulfillment in her work at the Panhandle Community Center and the Alamo Community Center, where she devoted her time to serving the elderly. A social and spirited woman, Gregoria loved playing Bingo, Bunko, and Joker with her friends at Park Place Independent Living. Whenever she had the chance, she also enjoyed a little fun at the casinos. Music was always a part of her life, and her favorite singers were Vicente Fernández and Freddy Fender.

She is survived by her children: George Cuellar Jr. and wife Linda, Norma Pratt and husband Arty, Maria Elvira Perkins and husband Robert, and Sylvia Arrowsmith and husband Conrad; stepchildren: Rocky Diaz and wife Lisa, Vick Diaz and wife Kathy, Julie Rhinehart and husband Chris, and Dierdre Slavik and husband Todd. She is also survived by her grandchildren: George Cuellar III and wife Stacie, Elisha Martinez and husband Oscar, Michelle Flores and husband TJ, Amy Lynn Bowen and husband Bill, Krisha McCurry, Caitlin Moore and husband Zac, Mackenzi Cuellar, and Michael Brock; step-grandchildren: Dustin Diaz, Chelsea Diaz, Kaela Irwin, Gunner Volmer, and Savanna Volmer; as well as 14 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Gregoria was preceded in death by her sons; Samuel Cuellar (1995) and Joseph Cuellar (2021), and by her husbands; George Cuellar (2005) and Alfred Diaz (2020).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gregoria Diaz’s name to SkyWest Assisted Living, 2623 12th Ave, Canyon, Texas 79015.

Gregoria’s warmth, laughter, and love for life will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
