Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Davey officiating. Military honors are provided by Volleys for Veterans.
Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
James was born Aug. 6, 1930, in Center to Wilbur and Vergie Lucas. He lived the majority of his life in Amarillo. He was an Army veteran who was stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He retired as a terminal manager of Yellow Freight Systems. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family. His kindness and generosity will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia R. Lucas.
Survivors include a son, Randy Lucas and wife Jody; a daughter, Karen Lucas; his grandchildren, Lindsay Edwards and husband Kyle, Courtney Pedersen and husband Brandon and Jansen Lucas and Coby Lane; and his great-grandchildren, Cameron Edwards, Kensington Edwards, Brighton Pedersen and Tripp Pederson.
