Joe Gibson, 92, formerly of Panhandle was driven by the angels to the gates of
heaven as quoted by his great granddaughter Callee Jo.
Joe was born in Alanreed, Texas on November 9, 1925 to RM & Minnie Bell Gibson.
He was number 10 or 12 siblings. Joe served in the Navy right out of high school.
He was a Sargent of Communications at Pantex for 26 years. He was an avid golfer, shooting several hole-in-ones and shooting his age.
Joe was Charter member of Panhandle Country Club, member of VFW post 6972 and
member of First Baptist Church.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, 11 siblings and wife Ginger.
He is survived by two daughters, Lynn Gibson, Debbie Jo Wetmore and husband Dave of Amarillo. Granddaughter Aimee Jo Wallace and husband Cal.
Great Granddaughters Callee Jo and Gwenivere Wallace of Hereford. Many nieces and nephews that loved their Uncle Joe.
