Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday October 18, 2014 in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Davey officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Jo Ann Cannon was born July 14, 1924, in Amarillo to Thomas and Clara Bingham. Jo Ann was also raised in Amarillo. She married Willie Gene Cannon in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1990.
During World War II, she worked in a ballistic factory in Shreveport, La., and California. Jo Ann enjoyed reading, writing poetry and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include a son, Gary Cannon of Bushland; a daughter, Gail Justus of Amarillo; her brothers, Bill Bingham of Kansas and Ray Bingham of Arizona; a sister; Louise Palmier of Florida; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
