

John Homer “Bud” Hart, 81 passed away March 2, 2015. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplain Sherman Eastland officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East.
John was born January 4, 1934 in Joplin, Missouri to Homer and Thelma Hart. As a child he had wonderful memories of living near the Hansford Valley near Palo Duro Creek when he lived in Spearman. John graduated from Spearman High School. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. John married Betty Qualls on June 6, 1959 in Amarillo and they were married for 55 years. John worked as a machinist for both Ferrall-Ross and ASARCO, retiring at the age of 64. He loved the outdoors and spent many family vacations camping and fishing in Oklahoma. He loved to watch football and baseball games on television and always said that he never saw a bad western on T.V. John loved his family and the time he got to spend with them, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Hart and 6 sisters. He is survived by sons, Kenneth and Darrin Hart of Amarillo; his daughter, Pamela Caskey and husband Joe of Dumas; granddaughter, Kristin Caskey of Dallas; grandson, Joey Caskey and wife Katy of Amarillo; also two great-grandchildren Piper and Joey. The family suggest memorials be sent in lieu of flowers to the American Diabetes Association, Amarillo office, P.O. Box 50433, Amarillo, Texas 79159.
