Juanita Garcia Dominguez, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born on May 16, 1942, in Mathis, Texas, to Bonefacio Garcia and Juana Moreno Garcia.
Juanita was married to Erasmo Dominguez Sr., with whom she shared a life filled with love and faith. While she dedicated many years to being a devoted housewife, Juanita also made significant contributions to her community through her work with Dimmitt Schools, the Dimmitt Senior Citizens, and Dimmitt Hospital. She was a housekeeper for several dear friends, always extending her helping hand wherever it was needed.
A woman of unwavering faith, Juanita was deeply rooted in her spiritual life. She attended church regularly and volunteered her time to serve others, becoming a prayer warrior and intercessor for her church family and anyone in need of prayer. Her love for God was reflected in her daily Bible readings and her commitment to her faith. In her personal life, Juanita found joy in gardening, taking walks, and preparing her favorite stews. She had a passion for journaling and cherished her time spent reading.
Juanita is survived by her sons: Gilberto Dominguez and his wife Norma, Reynaldo Dominguez and his wife Lynn, Erasmo Dominguez Jr., and Michael Dominguez. She is also survived by her daughters: Dora Dominguez, Diane Gonzales, Donna Sosa and her husband Ramiro Sosa, Lisa Mendoza and her husband Oscar Mendoza, Delia Rosenberry, and Jessica Posada and her husband Johnny Posada. Additionally, she is survived by her sister Maria Solis, 28 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, Bonefacio and Juana Moreno Garcia; her husband, Erasmo Dominguez Sr.; her brothers, Jose Garcia and Blas Garcia; her sister, Benita Dominguez; her in-laws, Enrique Dominguez Sr. and Conrada Dominguez; and one great-grandson.
Juanita Garcia Dominguez will be remembered for her strength, faith, and love for her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever be cherished.
