Lyla Scarbrough, 87 of Amarillo passed away September 4, 2012. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home. Lyla was born October 17, 1924 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to L.W. and Bertha Craig. She married Weldon E. Scarbrough in Capital Hill, Oklahoma. Lyla worked as a bookkeeper all of her life. She was a member of the Harriet Strimple Class at First Baptist Church. Lyla was preceded in death by her husband in 1999. Lyla is survived by her son, Lary Scarbrough of Denver, Colorado; daughter, Lori Scarbrough-Randall of Amarillo; grandson, Chris Scarbrough, granddaughter, Robin Groover and 2 great-granddaughters, all of Amarillo.
