Marvin was born on November 21, 1933 in Wheeler, Texas to John Arthur and Stella Virginia (nee Waggoner) Snider. He left school in the 8th grade and began his journey in life. He worked for the Amarillo Gear Company for the better part of 40 years, working his way up to a foreman position before retirement. Marvin was a member of First Christian Church of Amarillo. He loved his family. He married Marjieann Ford on March 14, 1951 and both said it would never work. At the time of his death, he and Marjieann shared 68 years of marriage. Marvin loved to fish, and fish, and fish. Marvin could fix anything or make anything work as long as he had bailing wire and duct tape. He never said a bad thing about anyone.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and a granddaughter. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Marjieann Ford Snider, sons Lewis and wife Raynon, John and wife Vickie, and Tony and wife Catherine; daughter Rose McKinney and husband Steve, grandchildren Kim Surles, Shonda Young, Coye Snider, Tosha Carrrillo, Greg Roush, Matt McKinney, Jamie Schupp, and Heidi Snider. He also leaves behind his great grandchildren Cameron, Kayla, Gavin, Keegan, Paxton, Skylar, Luke, Lexie, Amy, Corbin, Cannon, Clayton, Jaxson, and Brantley; great great grandchildren Ryver and Cooper, and many loving nieces and nephews.
