

Mary C. Miller, 86, of Amarillo died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013. Services will be at noon Saturday in Red Marble Ministries in Memphis with Dale Sexton and Jackie Blum officiating. Burial will be in Dodson Cemetery in Dodson. Arrangements are by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St. Mary was born March 27, 1926, in Sweetwater, Okla. She loved to fish and enjoyed playing cards and dominos with her brothers and sisters. Mary was the greatest prayer warrior and peace keeper anyone could ever know. She never had anything bad thing to say about anyone and always had a smile. Anyone that knew her was considered a friend and she would tell you she loves you. To a woman who loved all, we love you in your passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.D. Miller; a son, Jerry; and a daughter, Maxine. Survivors include a son, Dale Miller and wife Sharon of Memphis; four sisters, Mildred Barnett of Watsonville, Calif., Georgia Simmons of Amarillo, Maudie Barefoot of Clarendon and Nell Langford and husband John of Amarillo; two brothers, Bill Underwood and Glyndel Underwood, both of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Craig Dunlap and wife Mandy, David Miller and wife Marsha and Angie Shelly and husband Doug, all of Memphis, Jerry Miller Jr., Glen Miller and Kimberly Flowers, all of Erik, Okla., and Billy King of Tennessee; her great-grandchildren, Justin Dale Braddock, John David Miller, Steven Miller, Matthew Dale Miller, Sawyer Dunlap and Sam Dunlap, all of Memphis; and a host of other great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends from Independence Village, where Mary resided.
