

Minnie Belle Sharp, 99, of Amarillo, Texas, entered the gates of Heaven on January 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Marcus and Beulah Parker on a farm north of Amarillo. Minnie was a remarkable woman, full of love, kindness, and generosity. Born with a heart that cared deeply for those around her, she spent her life creating lasting memories with her family, particularly her beloved granddaughter, Celeste. Family was always her top priority, and she was devoted to nurturing and supporting the generations who came after her.
Minnie enjoyed a wide range of hobbies and interests. She had a special gift for cooking and baking, with a particular talent for pickling that earned her the title of "the best pickler ever" among those who knew her. Her garden was another place of joy, where she spent hours tending to her plants, reflecting her nurturing nature. A lifelong reader, Minnie had a passion for history and was an avid historian herself. She could recount the birthdays of every family member and had a deep knowledge of her heritage, often delighting others with her stories of the past.
Minnie was also an adventurer at heart. She loved camping, always seeking new experiences and memories. In recent years, one of her favorite pastimes was watching Shark Tank, a show she enjoyed for its entrepreneurial spirit and creativity.
Minnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernie Sharp, her parents and her siblings: Leslie, Bertie, Marcus, Beulah, Tommy, and Peggy. She is survived by her son David Sharp and granddaughter Celeste Sharp. Minnie’s passing leaves a great void, but her legacy of love, laughter, and warmth will endure. She is also survived with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends, all of whom were touched by her kindness and generosity.
A funeral service to celebrate Minnie’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 2 pm at Memorial Park East Mausoleum. Minnie’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all who have supported them during this time. She will forever be remembered with love and affection.
