Rev. Lee Walls

Rev. Lee Walls, 88 of Amarillo passed away November 16, 2016. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2016 at New Life Four Square Church with Rev. Kim Pitner officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell. Lee Walls was born March 24, 1928 in Hollis, Oklahoma to John and Ella Walls. Lee married the love of his life Vonna Strain on December 25, 1952, as a young married couple Lee felt the need to protect Vonna. He was Minister for the International Church of the Foursquare gospel for 60 years. He loved people, especially the children and his family. He loved to laugh and play games, some of his favorites included Wahoo and dominos. He was not only a pastor but a Shepard he will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ella Walls; brothers Wilton Walls, John Walls, Cliff Walls, Elmer Walls, and a sister Christabel Vaughn. Survivors include loving wife Vonna Walls, daughter Jeanetta Smiley and husband Randy and son Jerrell Walls. Grandchildren Justin Smiley and wife Brenna, Joshua Smiley and Jennifer Fehr and husband John along with six great grandchildren; Claire, Libby, Wyatt, Landon, Sean and Abigail. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Amarillo VA Alzheimer’s unit and Foursquare Mission Press 4905 E. LaPaloma Ave, Anaheim CA 92807
