Robert Wayne Ellis, born February 11, 1936 in Silverton, Texas went to be with the Lord Tuesday August 16, 2022. Bob is survived by wife, Treva Carroll Ellis of the home; Granddaughter Kristi Ellis Ogle and husband David Ogle, Jr. of Commerce, Georgia; Grandson Stephen Ellis of Amarillo, Texas; Great Granddaughter Madison Grace Ogle of Commerce, Georgia; Brother Travis Ellis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Sister Gladys Irion and husband Weldon Irion of Amarillo, Texas; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two sons: Curtis Ellis and David Ellis, both of Amarillo, Texas; parents Silas and Maurine Ellis of Amarillo, Texas; brother Bill Ellis; two sisters: Latrice Davis of Big Spring, Texas and Jeanie Ellis of Amarillo, Texas.
Bob served in the National Guard for 13 years. He retired from Pioneer Natural Gas and then Mesa Company. During his career, he served as treasurer of Amarillo Oil Company. He was an active member of Second Baptist Church of Amarillo. He enjoyed traveling, playing dominoes, with friends, going to Branson, Missouri and yearly visits with family in Georgia. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Services will be held Saturday at 2:00pm at Second Baptist Church with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
