Roberta Mae Burton, 92 of Amarillo passed away March 12, 2016. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Roberta was born March 9, 1924 in Branch Hill, Ohio to Robert and Bessie Lohr. She was a homemaker who loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them all. She will be truly missed by all who knew her and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Burton in 2000 and her sister, Gertrude Howell. She is survived by her son, Gary Burton and wife Vicki of Amarillo and Larry Burton and Judi of Cleburne; daughter, Judi Whiddon of Amarillo; brother, Jack Lohr of Loveland, Ohio; grandsons, Randy Burton and wife Sheila, Christopher Burton and wife Kathy and Coy Bird and wife Jeanette all of Amarillo, Miles and John Burton of Frisco; granddaughters, Kimberly Burton and Kelli Bird both of Amarillo and Brandilyn Esquivel and husband David of Houston; also by 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
