Ruby Pitts

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Mr. Glen Walton of Bell Avenue Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park

Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.

Ruby was born Oct. 2, 1920, in Hermleigh to Fred and Carrie Russell. She

graduated from Hermleigh High School. Ruby was a longtime member of North Amarillo Church of Christ. Her entire life was her church, her husband, Marion, and her family. She was a devoted housewife who raised two sons of whom she was very proud of. Ruby worshiped her family and her memories will easily live on forever.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marion C. “Bill” Pitts in 1988; a son, Marion

Russell in 1991; and a sister, Lois Evans.

Survivors include her son, Michael Pitts and wife

Charlotte of Dumas;

grandchildren, Lesley McBride of Houston, Kristy Ketterlin and husband Derek of

Amarillo, Tiffney Alexander of Kendall, Wis., and Ashley

Alexander and Chelsea

Alexander, both of Dumas; great-grandchildren, Sadie Massengill, Zoey Massengill and Hannah Ketterlin, all of Amarillo, and Preston McBride and Patrick McBride, both of Houston, and Ryan Alexander, Paige Alexander and Jack Alexander, all of Dumas; her sisters, Mary Gays of Memphis, Tenn., and Clarice Cleghorn of Odessa; her brother, E.J. Russell of Big Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews.
