Sherry was born Sept. 26, 1940, in Wellington to Buster and Nellie Bounds. She grew up in Wellington before marring Ernest Lee McNabb on Aug. 3, 1958, and moving to Amarillo. She is the mother of three children; she had seven grandkids; and three great-grandkids with one on the way.
She worked as a secretary for River Road Independent School District until she retired to a life of being with family. She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church and a very devoted Christian who prayed for her family.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest McNabb; a daughter, Angela Spaulding; two sons, Quinton McNabb and Curtis McNabb, all of Amarillo; her grandkids, Aaron Spaulding, Caitlin Spaulding, Trevor McNabb, Brennen McNabb, Siera McNabb, Blake McNabb and Devin Burrell; her great-grandkids, Karter McNabb, Lakyn McNabb and Kagen McNabb; and a brother, Donivan Bounds.
