Wanda Lynn Johnson, 89, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025.
Wanda was born August 10, 1935, in Amarillo to Nathan and Juanita Martin. She graduated from Amarillo High School and eventually married the love of her life, Dale Johnson, on June 6, 1953.
As a proud Air Force wife, she traveled the world with Dale, creating memories and friendships across the globe while supporting him and caring for their growing family before they finally settled back in Amarillo.
Wanda worked as a title clerk at Brown Pontiac and Street Toyota, and later as a secretary at Amarillo College. She was a devoted member of Village Park Church where she lovingly cared for children in the nursery for many years. Wanda adored her family, loved to read and crochet, and was known for her kind heart, servant's spirit, and good cooking.
She is survived by her daughter, Debora Hill of Amarillo; sons, Gary Johnson of Burleson and David Johnson and wife Orfelinda of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 8th at Memorial Park Funeral Home,
6969 E. Interstate 40. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Wanda's life was a blessing, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
