Winifred J. Whisenant

Joyce Whisenant passed away October 22, 2020. She was born January 7, 1927 in Somerset, England. She met her husband George Whisenant while he was proudly serving our country in the United States Army during WWII. They were married for 43 wonderful years before George’s passing in 1987. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a meatpacker for San Jacinto Frozen Foods for over 32 years. She was a member of The Rock Church and the British Wives Club.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son Larry Whisenant; great-great grandson Ryan Whisenant; two sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by her sons Michael Whisenant and wife Frankie; and Robert Whisenant and wife Terri. Four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren and a best friend Dorris Taylor.
