David Henry Evans

March 25, 1958 - February 3, 2026

It is with deep sorrow that the family of David Henry Evans announces his passing on February 3, 2026, at the age of 67. David passed away peacefully in Orange County, CA, surrounded by his long-time loving wife, Patty, their four children—Matthew, Brian, Michelle, and Bridget—and cherished family.

David was born in Providence, Rhode Island, the eldest son of Eugene and Barbara Jane Evans. He was raised in a family whose values of love, loyalty, and pride became the foundation of his own life. He is survived by his sisters, Barbara and Allison, and his brother, Steve. David was also blessed with his children’s spouses, Liz Evans and Steve Ferraro. His greatest joy was his granddaughter, Hope Riley Evans, whom he adored.

David’s family moved to Garden Grove, California, where he grew up enjoying baseball, tennis, and especially golf—his lifelong passion. Known for his competitive edge, reliable swing, comfortable shoes, and playful practical jokes, David was a beloved presence among his golf friends.

He graduated from Mater Dei High School, where he developed a strong faith, lifelong friendships, and met the love of his life, Patricia (Patty) Binckley. Their marriage was marked by enduring love, strength and a light that never diminished.

David spent over 35 years traveling the country as a Regional Sales Rep in the chain and jewelry industry, building a successful career and many lasting friendships. He also enjoyed 15 years playing on a co-ed softball team, the Battered Saints, alongside his wife and close friends.

Above all, David was a devoted father. He was a mentor, friend, occasional referee, and constant source of humor and encouragement. His love and legacy live on through Matthew, Brian, Michelle and Bridget.

A funeral service will be held on March 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Upland, CA. All who wish to attend are welcome.
